There are also photographs shared by Mike Entrianakis, a member of the American astronomical society who found the images thanks to the users of Google Maps, in which the sun is still shining and with a ring around both celestial bodies in full eclipse. If the image is moved, everything becomes dark again, but the shadows of the low luminosity of the star can be seen in the trees and in the vicinity of Missouri, where the users of the application were navigating.

This is called a pinhole, an event in which small openings very similar to those in tree leaves form and act as a pinhole or lensless chamber. This makes the sun’s light rays show the shape of the sun even when the eclipse is in the process of covering it completely.
