The search for a new planet where the human race can live is becoming increasingly important in our society. The constant study and attempts to discover a new extra-solar planet over the years have paid off and today we know hundreds of people. However, science is not satisfied with this and has decided to send a satellite that will be able to search for life on about 20,000 exoplanets. Being the satellite with the biggest task in recent years.
Tess, the satellite in charge of searching for life on an extrasolar planet.
On Wednesday, April 18 of this year, the Cape Canaveral base located in Florida, United States, witnessed the launch of Tess into space, the most ambitious project of the space organization of that country in recent times. Tess will be in charge of studying the surface and the possible organisms that inhabit it in search of the necessary ones to be able to shelter life on planets beyond our solar system.
Thanks to the satellite, it will be possible to know if our solar system is common in the universe and if, on the other hand, it is unique. The existence of strange planets scattered throughout all the galaxies is a subject that has fascinated not only science, but the general population as well. The discovery of aquatic planets, covered with lava almost entirely or without a shred of light, has given rise to the possibility that perhaps some planet shares the same characteristics of the Earth.

Many planets to study.
Tess is expected to spend about two years in Earth’s orbit, during which time she will travel 85% of the sky and study the planets beyond our galaxy, approximately 300 light years from Earth. Tess will be based on data previously collected by Kepler, who has discovered about 2,600 extra solar planets.
The success of this mission could mean a giant step forward for science and humanity itself. However, many conspiracy theorists claim that this mission is only a pot of smoke, because if they discover new lives, they will surely not make it public. For they are certain that NASA and other institutions not only know, but have discovered life on other planets, including intelligent life.
