There are many strange languages that have caused cryptologists around the world to lose their heads. Carvings and manuscripts have been found in languages that had never been seen before and which, for better or for worse, took decades to decipher. It has been almost 600 years since the Voynich manuscript became known to the whole earth and since then it has become one of the greatest mysteries of the whole earth that, to this day, no one has been able to decipher.
Voynich’s manuscript has been presented as such a gigantic challenge that even experts like William F. Friedman and his wife Elizebeth Smith, cryptanalysts and experts who were fundamental pieces in the Second World War for the United States, have not been able to decipher it.
Voynich’s Manuscript and a language never seen before on earth.
It was 1580 when Emperor Rudolph II of Hamburg, between his fanaticism for the occult and the paranormal, acquired a strange book that was written in an alphabet that was even stranger and fuller of illustrations that made no sense.
The manuscript owes its name to the person who acquired it in 1912, WilfridVoynich, since the book was written anonymously during the years 1404 and 1438. That’s right, no one knows what it said, let alone who wrote it.
Even the illustrations help or give a clue as to what the manuscript is about, for among them are astrological images, plants that are apparently medicinal, naked women bathing in what appears to be a swimming pool, among many other inconsistencies.
What do the pages of perhaps the first book of the earth say?
There have been many theories around Voynich’s manuscript. Many say that it is an ancient writing about alchemy, a popular practice in those days, others mention that it is a book of medicine. However, the greatest enigma is in his language, who wrote it, what language did he use?
Among the conspiracy lovers is the hypothesis that it is some secret language handled only by a small dome of people of the time and that if it was passed from generation to generation, it could still be present today.
